I registered to run but can no longer attend. What are my options?

Can I transfer my registration to another person?
Yes, you may transfer your registration to another participant prior to the transfer deadline.
If the new participant does not complete their registration for the event through the provided link, the transfer will not count as registered.
The GOAL Foundation does not process refunds for transferred registrations. The agreed upon sell price will be exchanged between the two individual parties directly.
Please be aware of scammers and do not transfer funds unless you have confirmed the seller is legitimate.
Is there a penalty for giving someone else my bib on race day?
Yes. Any participant who runs under someone else’s bib will be disqualified and will not be scored. For the safety of our runners, and in case of a medical emergency, it is imperative that the registration data associated with the race number belongs to the person wearing the bib. If race organizers become aware that a runner has participated in one of our events with a bib that is not registered to that runner, both the runner and the person to whom the bib is registered will be prohibited from participating in subsequent GOAL Foundation events for a minimum of two years.
Is there a penalty for participating in the race without a bib?
Yes, this is not allowed. Our course is for registered participants only. Resources are planned for participants prior to the event, and running a race without a bib takes away resources from registered runners - valuable road space, water, fuel, medical personnel, restroom facilities, and more. If race organizers become aware that a runner has participated in one of our events without a bib, that runner will be prohibited from participating in subsequent GOAL Foundation events for a minimum of two years.

I need special accommodations to participate in this race. Who do I reach out to?
Ogden Pioneer Days Rodeo Run welcomes all race participants who may have a permanent visual, physical, or intellectual impairment that affects their ability to participate.
If you require any accommodations, please email admin@goalfoundation.com before registering. The Rodeo Run team will review each request and do their best to provide support where possible.
Athletes in this program participate alongside the general participant field.
If needed, impaired runners can have a Guide Runner assist them during the race. Guide Runners receive a complimentary entry upon request, prior to registration. Each athlete is allowed one guide, who must accompany them throughout the entire race.
Can I wear headphones during the race?
Using an audio device may compromise your safety and that of others by hindering your ability to hear verbal instructions or commands from race officials including course marshals on bicycles or to hear vehicles in the lane next to you or emergency vehicles on the course. If you use an audio device you do so at your own risk. If choosing to wear an audio device, we recommend you use only one ear bud in at a time or an out-of-ear, bone-conducting product.
Are strollers allowed on the course?
Strollers are allowed at the Ogden Pioneer Days Rodeo Run, but must be pushed single file, so as not to take up too much of the running lane. Please also position yourselves closer to the back if you think you may have a slower start.
Is there a time limit for completing the races?
All participants must be through the finish line by 9:20am. 5k Participants must be through the turnaround/halfway mark (about 1.5 miles) by 8:40am. This cutoff is to ensure the parade can start on time after the run. This means 5k participants should be able to finish the course as long as they are moving faster than 25 minutes per mile.
