The GOAL Foundation believes that our programs should be representative of the community we serve and strives to provide equitable opportunities for all to "Get Out And Live!" at recreational and cultural events. We believe the cycling community is stronger when everyone feels welcome and has the opportunity to participate.
El Doce is Northern Utah's premier endurance mountain bike event held at
Powder Mountain Resort with 15.2 miles of IMBA designed trails per lap and roughly 1900' ascent. Riders can choose to compete as an individual or duo in the 6 or 12 hour race, or as a 3-4 person team in the 12 hour race only. This scholarship is aimed at increasing participation amongst groups that have traditionally been underrepresented in mountain biking, including women, nonbinary, LGBTQ+ and BIPOC individuals. You can apply for any category. If the duo or team category is selected, team member details must be included in the application.
If selected, you will receive free entry to your chosen category in the 2023 El Doce event held on July 29, 2023. The scholarship covers 100% of registration fees but does not include equipment or travel. Applicants must have access to their own equipment and be comfortable riding intermediate mountain bike trails.
To be considered for this scholarship, complete the application form by Sunday, July 16, 2023. Scholarships will be awarded on July 19th and all riders must register by July 26th.
