Nighttime Trail Run
The event is open to everyone. There is no minimum age for the nighttime trail run. No qualifying is required....other than a gut-check at the start line. You will need a headlamp.
Packet Pickup:
Onsite August 20th, from 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm
Each athlete must be present and have photo ID for packet pickup.
Race Start:
9:00 pm
Race Course:
Run, walk or crawl! This is a nighttime event that will put your inner adventurous self to the test!
The course runs through trees, over obstacles, through water, sand, dirt and mud. Combine that with dark and headlamps....you've got yourself a big serving of Awesome-ness!
This 10K - ish course is all off-road. The course will be clearly marked with directional glow sticks and possibly a little blood from the duathlon :-) KIDDING ... about the glowsticks:-)
Recommended/Required Equipment:
Clothing:
Anything you are willing to get wet, muddy, blood-stained or torn to shreds!
Helmets:
Helmets? For a run???? Optional :-)
Course Cut Off:
There is not a cut off time. We'll stay and party all night knowing that you're out having the time of your life!
Divisions:
18 & Under, 19-55, 55 & older
Aid Feed/Water Stations:
One station will be available on the run course and one in the finish area.
Awards:
Awards will be presented to the following first place winners only. (No second, third place or age categories will be awarded.)
There will be an overall male and female award in each division
**Special King of Pain ceremony will be held after the nighttime trail run.
Awards Ceremony will be held in the Festival area.
All finishers will receive a finisher’s mug and a certificate for one free beer or root beer provided by Roosters Brewing Company.
Race Festival:
Select vendors will be onsite and food and drinks will be available for purchase during and after the race.
Medical:
Medical support will be provided by Intermountain McKay-Dee Hospital and Ogden City Fire Department.
