The GOAL Foundation, along with our amazing partners, is excited for another summer full of Get Out And Live™ camp programming! Local youth, ages 6-14, have the opportunity to explore and learn skills that help promote a healthy lifestyle and a love of the outdoors. Camp sessions are available throughout the summer for youth to experience mountain biking, hiking, and indoor rock climbing.

INDOOR ROCK CLIMBING CampS

Let's "Get Out And Live!" and learn to climb! During these 5-Day Indoor Rock Climbing Summer Camps, youth ages 6-13 will learn from the experienced staff at The Front Climbing Club to develop skills such as technique, gear use, endurance, strength, teamwork, safety, responsibility, communication, trust and concentration. Everything is taught in a non-competitive atmosphere. The main "GOAL" is to have some active fun while experiencing indoor rock climbing and ADVENTURE!

5-day Indoor Rock Climbing Camp

After School Indoor Rock Climbing Program

COST: $70

The Front Climbing Club | 225 20th Street, Ogden.
Once a week on Fridays 3:45 - 5:00 pm for four consecutive weeks

This camp is designed to give kids access to rock climbing for the first time. The experienced staff at the Front will work with your child to learn the basics of rock climbing through non-competitive games. Adventure awaits!

hiking CAMPS

Embark on an exciting outdoor adventure with our Hiking Kids Camp! In this Summer Camp, young nature enthusiasts aged 8-12 will be guided by experienced instructors through the wonders of hiking. Embracing a non-competitive spirit, our primary GOAL is to instill a love for the great outdoors, fostering physical activity and a sense of adventure in every young hiker!

This camp aims to engage students with leadership opportunities; to teach and practice environmental stewardship; to guide the mindful discovery and implementation of resilience and perseverance; to cultivate meaningful community and practices of being a good neighbor; all while exploring the trails in our backyard. Daily snack will be provided, packed lunch also recommended. Email with daily drop off and pick up locations will be sent out upon registration. All locations are in Ogden.

Mountain BikE CampS

Let's "Get Out And Live!" outdoors together this summer! During these 4-Day Mountain Bike Summer Camps, youth ages 8-14 (3rd-8th grade) will develop new techniques and skills while exploring some of the best local trails here in Ogden. Our coaches and staff have years of riding experience and will help your child develop the skills needed to become a safe and confident mountain biker. The main "GOAL" is to have some fun and develop a love for riding and outdoor ADVENTURE!

Each day is organized with skill development, bike maintenance, games on and off the bike, and trail riding. We will be learning bike safety, basic mountain biking skills and techniques, trail navigation and etiquette, and helpful tips.


Beginner LEVEL | Ages 8 - 14

Cost: $130

Time: 8 AM - 11 AM

This camp focuses on bike safety, proper foot placement, shifting, braking, and trail edict. Youth mountain bike attendees will gain confidence riding, and learn proper edict and trail manners while enjoying local trails.

Day 2 : Riverdale Bike Park - (4800 Weber River Dr, Riverdale, UT 84405)
Day 3 : Enve Composites - (508 W Stockman Wy, Ogden UT 84401)
Day 4 : St Joes Highschool - (1790 Lake St, Ogden, UT 84401)

SUPPLIES NEEDED : Mountain Bike, Helmet (required), and water bottle.

GEAR REQUIREMENTS : Beginner Campers must have a mountain bike suitable for riding in off-road conditions. We will be riding off-road, over dirt, rocks, and uneven terrain. Campers must wear a properly fitting bicycle helmet and have either a water bottle (that fits in a bike-mounted water bottle holder) or a hydration pack to bring to camp each day. Daily snacks & water will be provided by the GOAL Foundation. All beginner riders should be riding 24″, 26″, 27.5", or 29″ rims with gears. Gloves and filling the tires with SLIME are recommended, but optional.

Session 1 – Ages 11 - 14 July 15 - July 18, 2024

Intermediate campers should already be familiar with and comfortable demonstrating skills taught in the beginner-level class (level pedals, neutral position, center balance, attack position, downhill/uphill riding, breaking, going over small rocks, cornering, scanning the trail, trail etiquette, basic shifting, cadence, riding in a line and ABC safety check.) This intermediate-level camp is suited for youth with basic mountain biking knowledge and comfort controlling speed on dirt trails while navigating rock gardens, narrow trails, and other natural obstacles.

IF your camper does not meet these requirements and was signed up without beginner-level experience, please reach out so we can get your child in the correct course.

YMCA Overnight Excursion Camps

Welcome to the exciting world of YMCA Excursion Camps! Our camps are designed to provide children and teens with unforgettable outdoor adventures, while fostering personal growth and skill development.

At the Y, we believe that every child deserves a chance to explore nature, build meaningful friendships, and develop essential life skills. Our dedicated and experienced trip leaders are committed to creating a safe and supportive environment where campers can challenge themselves, gain confidence, and create memories that will last a lifetime.
